About the Role

We are currently seeking a hardworking and reliable Road Worker - Grade 3 to join our Armidale Maintenance (MTCE) team. This hands on role involves performing a variety of routine and repetitive physical tasks, including road repairs, general maintenance, and the use of hand and power tools.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys outdoor, physical work and wants to contribute to maintaining essential local infrastructure. For the right applicant, there will also be opportunities to upskill into machinery operation and further develop your career.

Key Details

Position Title: Road Worker Grade 3

Pay Point: PP3 = $42.43 hourly

Location: Armidale (Must live locally or be willing to relocate)

PPE Required: Steel cap boots, long hi-vis shirt and pants, wide brim hat, hi-vis jumper or jacket

Your Responsibilities

Perform a range of physical road maintenance and repair tasks using hand and power tools.

Assist with basic roadworks such as patching, cleaning drains, vegetation control, and site preparation.

Work cooperatively as part of a team, following direction from supervisors and working safely at all times.

Opportunities available for training in the operation of machinery (rollers, loaders, etc.) for suitable candidates.

Respond to callouts and work overtime when required.

What You'll Need

Willingness and ability to perform physically demanding, repetitive outdoor work.

Commitment to safety and following correct PPE and WHS procedures.

Ability to work as part of a team with a positive and reliable attitude.

Must be willing to live in Armidale, attend callouts, and work overtime when required.

National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).

Current Driver's Licence (MR or higher preferred).

Construction Induction Card (White Card).

Plant/machinery tickets and Traffic Control certification are desirable but not essential.
