BLCAC is the Registered Aboriginal Party (RAP) representing the Bunurong people of the South-Eastern Kulin Nation. We advocate for cultural heritage, land management, and community empowerment. Our work spans across Greater Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula, and the Bass Coast, ensuring the voices and traditions of our ancestors continue to be recognised and respected.
About the Role
BLCAC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented People, Culture and Facilities Support Officer to provide essential administrative and operational support across all stages of the employee life cycle.
Working under the direction of the People, Culture and Facilities Manager, this role plays a key part in ensuring accurate HR record management, smooth recruitment and onboarding processes, compliance tracking, and effective coordination of training and development activities.
The position also contributes to the efficient running of BLCAC’s facilities, helping maintain a safe and productive workplace environment that aligns with our cultural values and organisational standards.

Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support across the full employee life cycle — recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
Maintain accurate and confidential HR records, systems, and compliance documentation.
Coordinate staff training, learning, and development activities.
Assist with HR reporting, correspondence, and internal communications.
Support day-to-day office and facilities administration to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained workplace.
Respond promptly and professionally to employee queries.
Contribute to HR projects and initiatives that promote staff wellbeing and organisational development.
Ensure compliance with BLCAC policies, Fair Work legislation, and other regulatory requirements.
What You Bring
Qualifications and Experience
Certificate or Diploma-level qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or at least 2 years equivalent experience).
Demonstrated administrative experience, preferably within an HR or not-for-profit environment. Previous experience using Employment Hero is desirable.
Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and HR or payroll systems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information appropriately.
Understanding of Fair Work and employment compliance frameworks.
Current Working with Children Check, National Police Check or willingness to obtain.
Valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
Aboriginality, (Bunurong Nation - (desirable).
