About the Opportunity
Join a dynamic Australian media company as their Tax Manager. Take ownership of all tax compliance and strategic tax advisory for the group while working in one of Australia's most exciting and fast-paced industries.

Responsibilities
As our Tax Manager, you'll lead the tax function across the Australian group:

• Group Tax Compliance - Ensure timely and accurate lodgement of all tax returns including income tax, GST, and FBT for the Australian group entities
• Quarterly Forecasting - Prepare and deliver quarterly tax forecasting to support cash flow planning and strategic decision-making
• Financial Statement Preparation - Calculate tax effect accounting entries and prepare comprehensive tax disclosures for financial statements
• Audit Coordination - Work closely with external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes and address tax-related queries
• Regulatory Liaison - Act as the primary contact for ATO reviews, enquiries and correspondence with tax regulators
• Business Partnering - Provide practical tax advice to internal stakeholders across various business functions
• Governance & Compliance - Develop, maintain and improve tax governance frameworks, procedures and internal controls
• Tax Risk Assessment - Identify and manage tax risks while ensuring compliance with changing legislation

Skills Needed

• Qualified accountant (CA/CPA) with strong tax technical knowledge
• Proven experience in a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Accountant role
• Comprehensive understanding of Australian taxation law including income tax, GST and FBT
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the tax function
