NDIS Early Childhood Practitioner
Are you an early childhood health or education professional that is interested in supporting and navigating families and children at the very beginning of their journey of early childhood intervention?
Early Childhood Australia (ECA) is the NDIS Partner in the Community for the Darwin Urban Region, and we are seeking two Early Childhood Practitioners to join our vibrant team.
About the roles
The NDIS Early Childhood Practitioner role includes providing time limited support to families to help them develop skills and confidence to support their child’s development and navigate early intervention supports. This includes both children who are/maybe eligible for NDIS funded support and children that require early supports only. The role includes building collaborative partnerships with service providers, local area specialist organisations and mainstream community groups to develop positive social relationships and be inclusive of children with disabilities.
About you
The position suits professionals with skills and experience in child development including – allied health, social worker or early childhood education. To be successful, you will be a team player with a relational approach to your work and have the skills necessary to work autonomously. You will also need to have experience working with multiple software packages and databases with confidence and curiosity to learn. Prior experience within the NDIS and an understanding of the NDIS Partner in the Community approach is highly regarded.
The role requires experience of working with diverse families and communities with respect and integrity.
Positions
We have two positions available now
One position is full time with the option of being a .8 (4 days per week)
The second position is part time .8 (4 days per week)
The starting salary for these positions is $93,080 FTE (plus superannuation) increasing to $94,942 FTE upon completion of a successful 6-month probationary period. Salary packaging is also available.
The must haves
Current driver’s licence
Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) or ability to obtain
National Police Check
