Location: Nambour (Adult with Schizoaffective )

Schedule:

Monday: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Thursday: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Sunday: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

We hiring two support workers, working across the above shifts.

Preference:
Male or female support worker with a background in mental health.

About the Role

We’re seeking compassionate, professional Support Workers to assist multiple participants with diverse needs, including mental health challenges and some physical support (e.g., mobility aids such as walkers). Our participants are kind, warm-hearted, and looking for respectful, empowering support.

Your Responsibilities

Provide respectful and empowering support to participants with diverse needs.

Assist with daily living and household tasks, including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.

Support participants with community access, social participation, and recreational activities.

Assist with life administration tasks such as updating calendars, managing appointments, and planning events, adventures, and activities.

Maintain strong professional boundaries at all times.

Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Work collaboratively with the team to deliver consistent, high-quality support.

Mental health experience is highly regarded.

✔ Mature male or female support workers (experience supporting females preferred)
✔ Strong English communication – spoken and written
✔ Proven mental health support experience
✔ High level of professionalism and boundary-setting
✔ Strong teamwork and reliability

Essential Requirements

Certificate III in Individual Support (preferred)

Valid driver’s licence

Reliable, clean vehicle with full comprehensive insurance

Current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)

Current Yellow Card / NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)

Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)

Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
