WANTED: Production Worker / Machine Operator

About the role

We are focused on hiring people with a great work ethic and positive attitude. Our ideal candidate will be adaptable, good at taking direction and able to work as part of a team to achieve a common goal.

This is a full-time position based in our Maddington factory (Monday to Friday, 7.6 hours per day with a 30-minute lunch break). You will report to the Production Manager and be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of various machines (cutting and printing equipment) to support the production process. While previous experience using large format machines is desired, we will provide on-site training to the right candidate.

What you'll be doing

Monitoring and operating manufacturing equipment

Working with various mediums such as corflute, acrylic, acm, board, self-adhesive vinyl

Producing goods according to instructions on client job bags

Working collaboratively with the production team to meet daily and weekly targets

Assisting with loading, unloading and movement of raw materials and finished goods

Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment

Maintaining a clean and organised work area

Performing routine maintenance and cleaning tasks to ensure optimal machine operation

Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency

What we're looking for

Previous signage production experience / factory environment - using cutting machines (Texcel, CNC Router) and large format printers (SwissQ/Vutek)

Ability to read and understand instructions

Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety

Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment

Happy and positive attitude

Physically fit with ability to lift and move large stock items by hand

Good communication and problem-solving skills

Reliable with excellent attendance

Fluent in English - written and spoken

Permanent working rights in Australia

Forklift licence a bonus but not essential
