This is a full-time, ongoing role that is fast-paced, hands-on, and based on-site across residential homes and office locations. It’s ideally suited to someone with strong clinical insight, adaptability, and a desire to make a meaningful impact from day one. ICS is a dynamic, boutique, secular, social purpose organisation motivated to make a difference in the lives of individuals. ICS Residential Care Services apply needs-based thinking to attachment-focused care within a trauma-informed therapeutic milieu.
We work with children, young people and their families (where appropriate) to identify and address therapeutic needs, as well as to support transitions to family-based care settings, or reunification. The multi-disciplinary team includes Care Practitioners, Therapeutic Intervention Workers, Residential Coordinators, Program Managers and the General Manager.
This position will provide therapeutic support to our children and young people predominantly placed in the South West Ipswich region.
What you will be doing
Provide clinical services for children and young people with complex needs in statutory out-of-home care
Review clinical plans (therapeutic care plans, positive behaviour support plans), conduct clinical assessments and therapeutic interventions
Complete case management tasks, respond to critical incidents, and engage with key stakeholders
Coach and train carers/parents on child-specific needs and facilitate individual, group and family work

Who we are looking for
Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or an appropriate related qualification
Experience or strong interest in working with children and families, including assessment, planning and support
Intermediate IT competency (Microsoft Word and Excel)
Valid Australian working rights
Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver Licence
