Our clinic is seeking psychiatrists interested in a structured, time-efficient partnership to support GP-led ADHD prescribing under Queensland’s Medicines Approvals and Regulation Unit (MARU) framework.

This is a low-touch collaboration - designed for psychiatrists who want to contribute to improving ADHD access without the ongoing workload.

How It Works

Discussion with GP with special interest in ADHD

Each case discussion requires just 5 minutes of your time.

The GP will provide all clinical documentation, validated diagnostic tools (e.g. ASRS, DIVA), and a draft letter for your review and sign-off.

No Patient Consultation Required

If you agree with and confirm the diagnosis, the GP will handle submission and prescribing.

Clear Scope and Governance

Once approved, the GP prescribes under their own authority.

The psychiatrist is not considered the ongoing prescriber, and all prescribing, follow-up, and compliance remain the responsibility of the clinic’s GPs.

Clinically Trained GP Team

All GPs involved have completed formal ADHD prescribing training and all modules recommended by Queensland Health.

They have experience working in shared ADHD care models, including diagnostic and prescribing responsibilities.

Only well-screened, clearly documented patients who meet diagnostic criteria are referred for review.
