About us

Old MacDonald's Child Care (OMCC) is a purpose-built private Education and Care service in Orchard Hills (Erskine Park side). Our service caters to children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. We operate 7.00am to 6.00pm Monday- Friday, 50 weeks per year.

OMCC has an abundance of outdoor play areas, complete with 3 separate age-appropriate natural play spaces. The outdoor environments incorporate our natural rural surroundings and encourage all children to explore their senses while engaging in the environment.

This is a rare opportunity to work in suburbia on 6.5 acres with animals (cow, sheep, alpaca, pig, goats, rabbits and chickens), go on tractor/ trailer rides with the children and have a natural play space that incorporates sustainability for the children to explore for hours.

Previous experience as an engaging assistant will enable the successful applicant to be an active team member within the service, while completing curriculum documents to guide children through play. A warm, friendly, flexible, can-do attitude will enable you to be an effective team leader with professional communication skills.

Assistants work in partnership with colleagues, children, families, and other professionals to share decision-making, engage in conversations, and critically reflect on different theoretical and philosophical approaches to the pedagogy they adapt.

Working with Children Check (WWCC)

This position has been identified as a child-related position under Child Protection Laws in NSW. To be eligible to apply, applicants need to provide OMCC with a valid copy of the WWCC number.
