We are seeking a Head Barista who can lead by example, inspire the team in service, and bring passion and precision to every cup. This role also includes an exciting opportunity to contribute across the wider group, supporting the development and training of baristas across both The Joey and our upcoming Terrigal Pavilion venue.

What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for an experienced and confident coffee professional who thrives in a busy, high-volume environment. You will take ownership of the coffee program, lead your team during service, and play a key role in maintaining quality, consistency, and efficiency. Your calm leadership, attention to detail, and ability to motivate others will set the tone for the guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the coffee team in service, ensuring quality and consistency in every cup.

Deliver engaging guest interactions that enhance the overall experience.

Oversee training and development for current and new baristas across the group.

Maintain a clean, efficient, and well-organised coffee station.

Manage stock, ordering, and maintenance of all coffee equipment.

Collaborate with venue leaders to evolve coffee standards and guest experience.

About You:

Proven experience as a senior or head barista in a high-volume, quality-driven venue.

Strong leadership and communication skills with a passion for mentoring others.

Deep knowledge of coffee preparation, extraction, and presentation standards.

Ability to balance hands-on service leadership with structured training delivery.

Positive energy, professionalism, and a genuine love of hospitality.
