We currently have a number of vacancies for the following position:

Riggers (Base salary in the range of $70,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience)

As a Rigger, your key responsibilities will be to

Operate a variety of equipment daily according to licencing, qualifications, schedule, and instructions from Site Supervisor, choosing and setting up the right crane, lift or hoist to complete each task safely and efficiently.

Inspect machines and equipment daily, perform routine maintenance procedures and minor repairs as required and initiate additional repair requests from mechanics when necessary.

Complete daily checklists and other forms ensuring all required information is submitted.

Control cranes, lifts and other equipment using standard operating procedures to ensure effective lifting of materials and safety for all personnel on site.

Follow Max Cranes and our Clients Procedures at all times and complete JSA and other associated paperwork prior to completing a lift.

Maintain visual and radio contact with crane operators according to best practices and site safety regulations and respond to questions and instructions clearly and quickly.

Prepare loads for movement. Tilt, dip, and turn suspended loads to manoeuvre over, under, and/or around obstacles, using multi-point suspension techniques.

Choose, attach, and use appropriate cables, pulleys, winches, blocks and sheaves, wires, straps and chains and inspect prior to use.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

At least 2 years’ relevant work experience in operation various types of cranes.

Experience with rigging lifts and load shifting equipment.

Experience working in remote locations and shutdowns.

Proven experience within the Crane industry.
