We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated cook for our childcare service at Go Kindy.

This role is required to fulfil a 5 day a week position, between 27.5/37.5 hours per week.

Applicants must hold or are required to obtain a food safety supervisor certificate and a working with children check. Applicants should also feel comfortable cooking for children with allergies.

Opportunity to study Certificate 3 in Early Childcare - this option isn't a requirement for the position, however an opportunity some applicants may find of interest.

Those who are interested in studying will be required to understake 37.5 hours a week - those who aren't interested in studying will work a 27.5 hour week.

Your Role:

Our service cook position will require an individual to cook for up to 100 children per day. We offer Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea to our families and all meals are required to be prepared daily. Applicants should feel comfortable preparing meals for children who may suffer from allergies. Seasonal menus' are created by the in house cook, this menu should reflect guidelines laid out by the NSW Government and Good for Kids, Good for life programs (training will be provided for applicants who feel unsure with the above).

Applicants will also be required to prepare weekly cooking lessons' for the children! Training and mentoring will be required for this.

Working with Children Check

Current First Aid and CPR Certificates (or willing to obtain)

Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management Certificates (or willing to obtain)

Safe food Handling (or willing to obtain)

Food Safety Supervisor certificate

A passion for working with children.

A desire to become a part of a strong and passionate team of educators.

Exceptional communication skills.

Experience is not a requirement, however preferred.
