About CERES Merri Cafe

The Merri Café is a vibrant, much-loved 150-seater licensed restaurant open 7 days a week (9am – 3pm) serving a changing menu of local, organic, seasonal and plant-based wholefoods in a welcoming and casual space. Our breakfast, lunch and catering menus showcase the best products from our Victorian producers and farmers.

We are committed to sustainability and utilise the latest technology along with informed decisions on food waste, energy and water to reduce our environmental impact.

We are seeking a dynamic Sous Chef to join our team. As part of the Café team you'll have a real opportunity to make an impact.

Contributing as a key member of the café and broader staff community at the East Brunswick park.

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?

You have at least three years of industry experience in a similar role and can juggle a bunch of different tasks – keeping them all up in the air in a fast paced restaurant environment.

You have experience in cafe or casual dining environments with a focus on fresh, quality food preparation.

You are an Australian citizen with unrestricted work rights.

You hold a current Food Handler certificate or equivalent food safety qualification.

You are aligned with CERES' vision – be that motivated staff member who helps people to fall in love with the Earth again.
