About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled Commercial Lead to support a high-profile joint Defence and Air domain program based near Toowoomba, QLD. You’ll provide strategic commercial and contractual management to ensure project objectives are delivered effectively and in alignment with Commonwealth procurement and governance frameworks.
This role suits someone who enjoys complex, high-value Defence environments and thrives on balancing commercial rigour with pragmatic delivery outcomes.
This role is running until Dec with 12 month extension already approved
Active NV1 Security Clearance essential
Must be based in QLD
About You
Strong experience in commercial or contract management within Defence or Federal Government programs
Proven ability to manage tendering, negotiation, and contract performance activities
Understanding of ASDEFCON templates, Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and Defence contract frameworks
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, particularly across technical and delivery teams
NV1 or higher security clearance MUST have
Key Responsibilities
Lead commercial and contractual activities across a major Defence program
Advise project leadership on contract strategy, risk, and compliance matters
Manage contract variations, extensions, and performance tracking
Support procurement planning, tender evaluation, and contract negotiations
Build and maintain effective relationships with Defence, industry partners, and suppliers
