The Opportunity

As a Registered Midwife at Wollongong Private Hospital, you will be joining a friendly team dedicated to delivering a higher standard of support and care for mothers, newborns, and their families.

Maternity Services comprises of 4 birth suites, 25 bed antenatal/postnatal ward and 7 bay SCN. Our Midwives work across birth unit and the ward as part of a supportive inclusive team that prides itself on its positive workplace environment. Our multidisciplinary team of experienced obstetricians, midwives, nursing staff, lactation consultants and allied health professional’s work together to ensure exceptional women centred care before, during and after pregnancy.

Reporting to the Maternity Services Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

Skills and Experience

• Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience working as a midwife post registration.
• Experience in birth suite essential.
• Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively independently and in a team as required.
• Sponsorship available for an experienced candidate

Remuneration

On offer is base hourly rate of $37.75 - $53.02 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (NSW RN/Midwife gr1-gr8)

Requirements

• Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
