HV Care is looking for an experienced and exceptional Domestic Assistant on a permanent part-time basis to join our team at Maryborough and Harvey Bay, reporting to the case manager directly.

Role and Responsibility

Provide general home/domestic duties including general cleaning, organising shopping and some light household tasks .

Support clients to maintain or develop independent living skills

Take immediate action in an emergency to ensure the safety of clients, themselves and the community

Develop effective, positive and respectful working relationship with clients

Follow infection control guidelines

Participate in staff development programs

Essential

Valid Driver’s Licence

Own a reliable vehicle

First Aid Certificate

Desirable

A Certificate II or III in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations) or Individual support will be highly regarded although not essential.

Demonstrated professional leaning experience working in a similar role

Understanding of the needs of people with disabilities and their carer’s

Able to work in a team and provide solution to problems involving patients.

Good level of communication and interpersonal skills.
