At Sportreat, we have a rare opportunity for a new physiotherapist to join our team. With one of our senior physios moving into a management role at a sister clinic, we have an opportunity and a full caseload for an excellent physio to take over and make their own.

The Role

Working with our team of physiotherapists and allied health professionals, you will provide best practice clinical care to a wide variety of clients. This role is ideally full time, but we may consider part time for the right candidate.

You will treat a variety of musculoskeletal clients and we can assist you in building a niched caseload to suit a special area of interest

Your salary package will include a bonus/commission structure which allows you to take home an extra $20,000-$50,000 per year in performance based bonuses

New graduates who consider themselves mature and exceptional with a strong desire to work in private practice and some previous private practice exposure either through paid employment or prac placement experience are welcome to apply

A mix of mornings and evenings, with some availability to work Saturdays, would be desireable.

On top of providing high quality clinical care to your own caseload, you you will also have the opportunity to

Mentor junior clinicians

Develop a niche area, or target your current niche

Engage with a range of stakeholder and partners, including visiting orthopaedic specialists and sporting clubs

Be part of a high performing multidisciplinary team, with a great team environment (and free coffee)

This role commences at the start of November (with handover and training prior if able)

About Us

Sportreat has operated for 12 years and has established itself as a premier destination for sports medicine and allied health services south of the river. We provide a range of multidisciplinary services including physiotherapy, sports medicine, exercise physiology, podiatry, remedial massage therapy and dietetics. We also support visiting orthopaedic specialists, and specialist vestibular physios.

We have 420sqm of custom built physiotherapy and allied health premises, including a fully equipped rehab gym, and free coffee for all!

We work closely with several community sporting groups, including the Cockburn Cougars NBL1 West basketball club, Fremantle City Football Club, Hilton Bicton Cricket Club and Palmyra Junior Football Club.

As part of this group, we offer structured, ongoing PD and training programs, as well as the opportunity to participate in structured clinical Pilates training.

About you

You are an experienced physiotherapist with excellent diagnostic, treatment, and problem-solving skills. (Post graduate qualifications are beneficial). You will have experience in private practice, musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, and a proven ability to manage a caseload. You are a team player and client focussed.

It goes without saying you should have excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You are keen to take the next steps in your career and make your mark on our organisation, our team and our community.

Requirements:

Full AHPRA registration as a physiotherapist

Some experience as a physiotherapist in private practice

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Excellent ability to work as part of a team

Self-motivated.

Desirable

Post graduate qualifications in Sports or musculoskeletal physiotherapy desireable but not essential

Some experience with managing supervised exercise clients

Some experience with high level sporting teams, particularly basketball, cricket or football

Some experience with TMJ issues would be beneficial.

This position will commence at the beginning of November, with opportunity for training and handover prior to starting.
