Maintenance Fitter – Day Shift (Mon–Wed, 5:00am–5:00pm) | Corex Plastics – Dandenong
Tired of night shifts? Want steady hours, modern gear, and a team that actually listens?
At Corex Plastics, we’re proud Australian manufacturers building smarter, more sustainable plastic products right here in Dandenong. We’re looking for an experienced fitter who takes pride in keeping machinery running smoothly — and likes to leave a job done right.
What’s in it for you
Set roster: Three-day day shift – long weekends every week.
Hands-on variety: From breakdowns to fabrication to small projects – no two days are the same.
Well-equipped workshop: Access to proper tools, good spares, and a team that knows how to get things done.
Supportive crew: You’ll work alongside experienced fitters who pull their weight and respect yours.
Pride in purpose: Be part of an Australian company driving sustainability through innovation.
Your day-to-day
Keep our extrusion and recycling lines running through planned and reactive maintenance.
Fault-find mechanical issues fast and safely to minimise downtime.
Fabricate, repair, and fit components — using sound judgment, not guesswork.
Log jobs properly in our maintenance system so the next person’s not left guessing.
Pitch in on upgrades and improvement projects — we like ideas that make things run better.
Follow safe work procedures and help keep the site clean, organised, and hazard-free.
What you’ll bring
Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter (Cert III or equivalent).
Solid background in manufacturing maintenance — ideally plastics, packaging, or similar.
Good all-round mechanical knowledge: hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, conveyors, etc.
A reliable, practical attitude — you show up, get stuck in, and help the team.
Clear communication — you explain the problem, not just fix it.
Safety-first mindset and pride in your workmanship.
