The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking experienced Industrial Hazardous Area Electricians to join the Service and Construction division at the Cairns branch. This role offers the chance to work on challenging and varied projects in a supportive, growing team environment, with genuine career advancement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and test electrical equipment in line with Australian standards and company policies

Manage and execute allocated jobs and project tasks, independently and as part of a team

Read and rectify electrical drawings; complete paperwork and inspection test plans (ITPs)

Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, appliance standards, occupational health and safety protocols, and company procedures

Participate in ongoing training and contribute to continuous improvement

Candidate Profile

Current unrestricted QLD Electrical Licence

White Card (Construction Induction Safety certificate) and current C Class Driver’s Licence

LVR/CPR qualification

Industrial and hazardous area electrical experience

Strong troubleshooting, technical, and interpersonal skills

Able to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team

Self-motivated and committed to safety, quality, and professional development

Additional qualifications in HA Installation/Inspection, EWP licence, and intermediate computer skills are highly desired

Salary & Benefits

Hourly rate: $46 - $55/hour + Super

Annual salary: depending on experience and skills
