Workshop Foreman

Lead the floor. Grow our apprentices. Lift the standard.

- Full-time | Stable, family-run workshop
- Hands-on leadership across diagnostics, workflow & quality

About us

We’re a forward-thinking, growing and family-orientated workshop. Crossroads Mechanical services and repairs a wide range of vehicles and prides itself on honest work, great communication and getting it right the first time.

The opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Workshop Foreman to run day-to-day operations on the floor and coach two apprentices while we’re in a growth phase. You’ll be the link between the tools and the front office—keeping jobs moving, standards high and customers happy—while supporting our Site Manager.

What you’ll do

Run the floor: allocate jobs, manage workflow and timeframes, open/close procedures and daily toolbox huddles.

Lift quality: oversee diagnostics, perform road tests and sign-off work; reduce rework and drive first-time-fix.

Coach apprentices: train, mentor and check work against block schedules; develop skills and safe habits.

Hands-on when needed: carry out repairs/maintenance and support complex diagnostics.

Safety & standards: uphold WHS, housekeeping and correct procedures; care for workshop tools/equipment.

Admin that matters: clear job notes, parts requests and collaboration with Site Manager on timelines and customer updates.

What you’ll bring

Qualified Light Vehicle Technician with strong diagnostics and fault-finding.

Leadership on the tools: proven experience guiding techs/apprentices and lifting team performance.

Communication & teamwork: calm under pressure, clear with expectations and great with customers when required.

Eye for detail: standards-driven, organised and accountable.

Driver’s licence and own tools (specialty tools provided).

WA Repairer’s Licence (or willingness to obtain).

Great to have (or we’ll help you get there)

Refrigerant Handling (AC/ARCtick).

4x4/suspension/accessories experience.

Why join Crossroads

Attractive package + incentives based on experience and impact.

Training & tickets paid for the right person (A/C, leadership).

Supportive leadership, family culture and pride in workmanship.

How to apply

If you’re a capable leader who still loves being on the tools—and you want to build people, process and pride—apply with your current CV.

We’re interviewing as we go—don’t wait to put your hand up.
