West Perth Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is seeking a passionate and dedicated Surgical Assistant or Dental Nurse to join the team.

Tasks & responsibilities

Setting up treatment room ensuring all instruments are prepared for each consulting list as per surgeons preferences

Provide surgical and consulting assistance to our Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons

Ensure patient charts have been prepared for all administrative requirements for surgeon and have x-rays ready to be viewed on the computer

Order prosthetics required for each theatre list

Liaise with sterilising team to ensure that instruments are available for each case

Take on scrub nurse role in Operating theatre

About you:

Minimum certificate IV in Dental Assisting

At least 12 month's experience in Dentistry

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships

Empathetic and kind nature

Energetic, motivated, a quick learner, punctual and fits in our culture

Exemplary time management and organisational skills

Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Exposure to dental radiology

Experience scrubbing and surgically assisting in operating theatre

Experience with Genie Patient Management Program preferred
