What the Role Involves

As a Driller’s Offsider, you’ll be stepping into a physically demanding role that’s the gateway to a drilling career. It’s hard work, but it’s also the start of something big.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Assist the Driller – Support safe and efficient operation of drilling equipment.
• Handle Heavy Gear – Load/unload tools, rods, and core samples (expect plenty of heavy lifting).
• Operate Support Equipment & Vehicles – Safely drive and run machinery essential to the drilling process.
• Maintain the Worksite – Keep things clean, organised, and safety-compliant.
• Core Sampling – Help retrieve, handle, and correctly label samples for analysis.
• Safety First – Always follow strict safety standards for yourself and the team.

Typical Roster: 2 weeks on, 1 week off (FIFO from Perth).

What You’ll Need

• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency (working holiday visas not accepted).
• Point of hire: Perth, WA – you must already live in WA.
• A valid manual driver’s licence (HR preferred).
• Strong physical fitness you’ll need it.
• A resilient mindset his is hard yakka, 12-hour days in remote, often extreme environments.
• A commitment to safety and a strong work ethic.
