This is for a Fixed Term Full Time appointment at up to 76 hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. With 2.00 FTE available, now is the perfect time to help shape the future of rural healthcare.
An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse to join the Midwest Mental Health & Community Alcohol and Drug Service in Geraldton.
To be successful, you will have...
- Knowledge of and experience with psychiatric disorders and treatment interventions, and principles of community based mental health care and illness prevention.
- Well developed written and verbal communication, negotiating and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with clients from a variety of cultural and ethnic groups.
- A working knowledge of the WA Mental Health Act (2014) and other relevant legislation.
- Demonstrated ability to work with other health professionals with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Knowledge of computer applications, word processing skills.
- Eligible for / or in possession of a current C or C-A Class drivers’ licence or other specialised licence class.
Position Profile:
Provides, plans, implements Community Mental Health Nursing care to customers of Midwest Mental Health and Community Alcohol & Drug Service.

Area Profile
