About Us

We’re M&J Marine Services, a family-owned marine and civil construction contractor based in Port Stephens. Since 2018, we’ve been building NSW’s waterfronts — from on-water piling and bridge carpentry to marine asset maintenance.

We’re known for tackling tough jobs that take skill, patience, and a bit of thinking outside the box.

We’re lining up projects through summer and will onboard 2–3 new crew members between now and the new year.

About the Role

We’re taking expressions of interest from experienced or up-and-coming trades and operators for:

Marine Construction Crew / Labourers – Barge and piling work.

Carpenters – Bridge, wharf, or heavy timber formwork.

Skippers / Operators – Coxswain-qualified or machinery operators (excavator, truck, crane).

You’ll work outdoors on-water projects across NSW as part of a small, tight-knit crew where safety, teamwork, and pride in workmanship matter.

About You

You’ll fit right in if you:

Enjoy hands-on work and practical problem-solving.

Are reliable, safety-focused, and take pride in your gear.

Can adapt when plans change or weather turns.

Hold a White Card and Driver’s Licence.

Have (or are working toward) Dogging, GPH, Coxswain, HR licence, or trade qualifications.
