Get to know the Role:

Due to continued growth, Border Express currently has exciting opportunities for reliable HC and HR drivers with general freight experience to join our team at our Salisbury South Branch . You’ll be handling local pickups and deliveries of various freight.

A HC or HR licence (Minimum) and experience with various restraint type sis required

These roles will involve delivering freight in our tautliners to customers in the local Adelaide metro area.

These positions play an integral part in the safe, efficient and effective movement of freight to achieve the delivery promise that we have made to our customers.

Duties:

Operate Tautliner and Open rigid trucks, ensuring proper use of gates, tarps and load restraint equipment.

Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods to designated locations.

Maintain a strong commitment to safety and professional presentation.

Perform pre-start and end-of-day maintenance checks on vehicles.

Collaborate effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Check all paperwork is completed accurately and real time signatures are obtained at all times;

Adhere to all relevant laws and legislation including load restraint guides, DG codes, fatigue management legislation, road laws and council regulations

Skills and Experience:

Must hold a HR manual licence as a minimum.

Minimum 2 years of HR driving experience with general freight

Sound knowledge of securing loads with straps

Great local knowledge of Adelaide and surrounding areas;

Experience in multi-drops essential with potential for hand unloads as required.

Current LF forklift licence would be an advantage
