About the Role

We are seeking a Recruitment Consultant to join the Melbourne team of our client. This role will see you working with both employers and job seekers to deliver effective recruitment outcomes and tailored workforce solutions in line with GSS’s labour hire model.

Key Responsibilities

As a Recruitment Consultant, you will:

Arrange and coordinate job advertising, applicant interviews, testing, and staff selection processes

Receive and record vacancy details from employers, including job descriptions, wages, and employment conditions

Provide up-to-date information to employers and job seekers on current opportunities

Maintain accurate personnel records and HR information systems

Advise management on workplace relations policies, staff performance, and disciplinary matters

Arrange staff inductions and provide guidance on conditions of service, salaries, and promotional opportunities

Negotiate employment terms and assist with resolving disputes and grievances

Interpret and apply relevant legislation, awards, agreements, employment contracts, and workplace policies

Contribute to the development and implementation of workplace relations programs and enterprise agreements

Support employee participation initiatives and workplace consultative committees

About You

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Human Resources, or a related field

Minimum 1 year of experience in recruitment or HR

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-driven environment

A proactive, solution-oriented, and community-minded approach
