Help shape data driven regulation at the Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC)

We're seeking a Senior Data Analytics Developer who can turn complex datasets into clear insights that drive smarter regulatory decisions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical excellence and stakeholder engagement - delivering dashboards and reports that tell a compelling story and influence outcomes across the organisation.

What we are looking for:

• Senior Developer level Power BI capability (5+ years), including advanced data modelling, dashboard / report design, and data storytelling.
• Strong SQL skills, with proven ability to design and optimise queries for analytics and reporting.
• Ability to Engage Stakeholders across the organisation, elicit requirements, and translate them into intuitive BI solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to present insights in plain language and influence decision making.
• Proven ability to deliver analytics solutions that support business performance, operational improvements, and regulatory insights.

About the BPC

The Building & Plumbing Commission (BPC) is Victoria's new regulator for building and plumbing.

It brings together the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), Domestic Building Dispute Resolution Victoria (DBDRV), and the domestic building insurance function of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) into one organisation.

Key functions related to building and plumbing regulation will come together under one roof, including registration, inspection and compliance, practitioner discipline, dispute resolution, and domestic building insurance. These services will now part of the BPC and will be fully integrated over the next 12 months.
