About the Centre
The Boroondara Sports Complex is one of 4 facilities in Boroondara, and is owned by City of Boroondara and managed proudly by The Y. The facility contains a Health Club, 5 basketball courts, 2 program rooms, an outdoor aquatic area consisting of 50m pool, toddler pool and dive pool, café, gymnastics studio and child care services.

About the Role
As a Customer Service Officer at Boroondara Sports Complex you will be greeting members, responding to enquiries via email, phone or in-person, following up on and inputting leads, making sales calls as well as performing general but important administrative tasks. Our Customer Service Officer's always put the customer experience at the forefront of all interactions with people within the community. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide customers with sales solutions when enquiring about memberships and programs
  • Conduct centre tours with prospective members
  • Follow up customers and members as required
  • Promote available programs and services
  • Accurately receipt, process and balance customer payments

This is a casual position and the hourly rate is $31.18 per hour + Superannuation + Y Benefits.

About You
With our focus on providing the exceptional customer experience and always providing the highest level of customer service, we will be looking for someone who is energetic, can help to create a welcoming environment and enthusiastic about helping and assisting others. We also require some who is able to show the willingness to sell our benefits to the community.

You will be working alongside our other Customer Service Officers, and will also work closely with Duty Managers to ensure smooth service and running of the facility overall.

Qualifications & Experience

  • HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
  • Previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous
