The Opportunity
IBA’s Finance section provides financial and accounting services to IBA program areas, branches, and Subsidiary and Associate companies. It also provides high-level financial and budgeting advice to the IBA Chair, Board and Executive.
About the role
The focus of the role is on the preparation and input of Accounts Payable and the preparation of general ledger reconciliation for both IBA Corporation and Subsidiaries. The person will liaise closely with all IBA Finance staff and relevant program and branch managers. The role also
provides assistance in the import of subsidiary financial information into Technology One.
What you’ll bring to the team
- Awareness and understanding of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander societies and culture.
- Ability to liaise and communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff.
- Knowledge of the Technology One Financial Management Information System (FMIS) or other similar systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of statutory financial reporting, particularly for PGPA Act entities.
- Practical experience in management accounting, financial accounting and reporting.
- Well-developed skills in use of Excel and other relevant software.
