About the Position
As the Senior Integration Developer, you will be a key conduit between the Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) team and Charles Darwin University (CDU) business units. The primary purpose of this role is to analyse, understand, and document business processes and integration requirements, facilitating effective and scalable system integrations across the university.
Operating in close collaboration with subject matter experts, business units, project managers, stakeholders, and vendors. The Senior Integration Developer is responsible for analysing both existing and new systems to deliver fit-for-purpose integration solutions. This is a highly consultative role requiring strong collaboration, technical leadership, and stakeholder engagement to support end-to-end integration design and delivery.
The role requires the ability to interpret complex business needs and translate them into robust technical integration solutions. Integration efforts primarily involve connecting on-premise and cloud based applications—such as CRM, Curriculum Management, Student and Learning Management Systems, and ERP platforms.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
- Proven experience leading end-to-end integration design and delivery, including Callista specific integrations.
- Strong SQL skills are essential, with the ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot queries to support integration, reporting, and application data requirements.
- Experience working within enterprise integration environments (preferably MuleSoft), with a focus on ensuring integration quality, performance, and effective collaboration with platform administration teams.
- Strong understanding of integration architecture and patterns (e.g., APIs, microservices, event driven design) and demonstrated ability to build and maintain integrations across APIs, middleware, and message queues.
- Expertise in delivering secure, scalable, and maintainable integration solutions.
- Skilled in root cause analysis and resolution of integration performance and reliability issues.
- Ability to translate business and technical requirements into effective integration solutions.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MuleSoft or similar integration platforms (e.g., Boomi, Workato), including administration and optimization.
- Experience mentoring developers and contributing to continuous team capability development.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders while also working within structured project delivery environments.
Appointment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory National Criminal History check and NT Working with Children clearance. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 9. The base salary will be in the range of $126,028 - $133,103 per annum.
The total remuneration package will be in the range of $147,452 - $155,730 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
