About the role

Goodberrys Creamery Belconnen is seeking a passionate and experienced Food Retail Assistant and Shift Supervisor to join our team in Belconnen, ACT. This is a casual role where you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our Belconnen store for our busy day and night trade. As Shift Supervisor, you will lead a team of customer service-focused junior retail assistants to deliver an exceptional customer experience every time. You will also support the Store Manager to ensure the effective operations of the store overall.

Candidates must be available to work both day and night shifts as required for this casual position.

What you'll be doing

Oversee the operations of the store, including managing staff, food preparation, customer relations and cleaning equipment

Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained by training, coaching, and motivating the junior team

Support the store's sales and profitability goals through effective inventory management and loss prevention measures

Contribute to the continuous improvement of store operations and processes

Perform other duties as required to support the overall success of the store.

What we're looking for

Minimum 1 years' experience in a retail management or supervisor role, preferably within the food and beverage industry

Strong customer service orientation with the ability to lead and motivate a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

Resilient and calm in the face of challenging situations

Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs

A passion for the food and beverage industry and a willingness to learn and grow with the company

Australian work rights are required for this position
