About the role
Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier within the timber and engineered wood products industry. They are currently seeking an experienced Yard Warehouse Storeperson to join their team based in Clayton, VIC.
This is a permanent full-time day shift position (Monday to Friday, starting from 7:30am), where you’ll play a vital role in the safe, efficient, and accurate fulfilment of warehouse and production operations. What you’ll be doing
Operate Side-loader forklifts to move and store timber and engineered wood products
Safely load and unload trucks, manage inwards goods and dispatch operations
Sort, pack, stack, and wrap products according to job specifications
Use a strap gun to secure packs and prepare them for dispatch
Photograph, label, and stage completed orders ready for distribution
Maintain housekeeping and safety standards across the warehouse and production areas
Operate specialised production equipment such as the slit machine (training provided)
Support the broader warehouse and logistics operations as required
What we’re looking for
Current LF forklift license, with experience operating side-loaders highly regarded but not required.
Victorian (or Australian-equivalent) Driver’s License
Previous experience in a timber, warehouse, or production environment would be advantageous
Strong manual handling skills and physical fitness (lifting 10–15kg regularly)
High attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure
Safety-focused, reliable, and collaborative team player
Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new systems
