The Rural and Remote Solutions (RRS) Promotion Coordinator serve as the main point of contact for individuals interested in exploring Family Day Care (FDC). This role provides hands-on support and connect with community stakeholders to promote FDC as a viable employment opportunity in rural and remote communities across South Australia.
The Family Day Care program within the Department for Education, focuses on enriching the lives of South Australian children and their families by the provision and coordination of high-quality home-based childcare. The Family Day Care service enables families with dependent children to participate in the workforce and the broader community through their involvement in the Family Day Care program. The Family Day Care Promotions Coordinator is accountable to the Rural and Remote Solutions Manager in supporting and promoting the establishment of home-based childcare in regional and remote communities that results in the effective delivery of the Family Day Care program in accordance with the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment guidelines and objectives and early childhood policies.
The RRS FDC Promotions Coordinator engages with community stakeholders to advocate for FDC as a viable and flexible employment opportunity in rural and remote communities, including collaboration with family support services, councils, volunteer groups, play groups, governing councils, local universities, and training organisations. They work in partnership with potential educators toward establishing inclusive, developmentally, and environmentally appropriate home-based childcare environments to support local communities and for the well-being of children.

Riverland: (Blanchetown, Waikerie, Loxton, Morgan, Glossop, Cobdogla)
Qualifications:
Essential: Nil.
Desirable: Certificate III in Early Childhood, Diploma Early Childhood Education and Care or Cert IV Marketing and Communications. Knowledge of early childhood care and education programs and / or community engagement is highly desirable.
