About the role

Dixon Accountants is seeking an experienced Accountant for a permanent part-time leading to a full-time role. In this position, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting and taxation services to our diverse client base. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our clients' tax affairs are managed efficiently and compliantly.

What you'll be doing

Self Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) Administration

Preparing and lodging tax returns for individuals and businesses

Providing tax planning and advisory services to help clients minimise their tax obligations

Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and other accounting reports

Conducting tax research and staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation

Collaborating with clients to understand their unique financial and tax requirements

Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations

What we're looking for

Someone with a well rounded skill set

Degree in Accounting or a related field, completed or currently completing CA, CPA, IPA or equivelent preferred

Minimum 3 years' experience as a professional Accountant

Strong knowledge of Australian taxation laws and compliance requirements

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Proficient in the use of accounting software and tax preparation tools

Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
