We're seeking compassionate and reliable Casual Youth Workers to support children and young people in care or at risk in the Brisbane region.

About the Role

As a Casual Youth Worker, you will support the wellbeing of children and young people in care or at risk. Your role includes providing trauma-informed support, helping build life skills and independence, supporting safe family contact, maintaining accurate documentation and working closely with carers & internal teams and Child Safety. The role also involves transport and supervision of young people as needed.

Availability requirements:

  • Minimum 4 days per week availability
  • Must be able to do 1 overnight shift per week
  • Must be available 1 weekend day per week

This is a Casual role - starting rate of $48.31 per hour.

Qualifications, Credentials and Other Requirements

  • Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
  • Current Licensed Care Service (LCS)
  • Current QLD Driver Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • First Aid & CPR Certification
  • Cert IV or Diploma in Youth Work, Child, Youth & Family Intervention, Community Services (or be working toward it)
  • Completion of Hope & Healing training (or willingness to complete)
