An opportunity to join our growing Allied Health, Sports & Remedial Clinic team.

Located in Avondale Heights, Pain Stoppers is one of Melbourne's North-West leading Allied Health Clinic supported by a loyal community of patients and a team devoted to helping them maintain health and wellbeing, through our holistic approach to health care.

We are looking for enthusiastic Remedial Massage Therapist, Myotherapists, Physiotherapist who value helping and empowering individuals to live pain-free lifestyles.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Remedial Massage Therapist / Myotherapist (2 years experience minimum, female preferred but not essential)

Perform a wide range of manual therapy techniques, including Soft & Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger-Point Therapy, Joint Mobilisation, Cupping Therapy, and Dry Needling, tailored to individual client needs.

Conduct thorough musculoskeletal assessments to identify dysfunction, pain patterns, and movement restrictions.

Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to address acute and chronic conditions, postural imbalances, and sports-related injuries.

Educate clients on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and self-care techniques to support long-term recovery and wellness.

Maintain detailed and accurate client records, documenting assessments, treatments, and progress notes.

Collaborate with other allied health professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Minimum of 2 full working days required (this is commitment and continuity for patients).

Contractor Position – 12-Month Performance Review (Potential Pathway to Part-Time / Full-Time Employment Based on Performance Review)

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES ACROSS ALL DISCIPLINES:

Deliver each treatment with professionalism, care, and a patient-centred approach from start to finish.

Uphold the highest standards of hygiene, infection control, and workplace safety.

Maintain a high level of communication with patients, team members, and referring practitioners.

Stay updated with industry developments, professional education, and emerging therapeutic techniques.

Actively contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment, fostering excellence in allied health care.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

1. Remedial Massage Therapist / Myotherapist

Qualification: Diploma of Remedial Massage / Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy (22316VIC or equivalent)

Registration: Membership with Massage Association Australia (MAA) or Massage & Myotherapy Australia (MMA), or other association equivalent.

Certifications: Current First Aid, Dry Needling, Cupping Therapy

Insurance: Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.

Work Rights: Candidates must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.
