About The Role!
Working closely with our Membership team, the Career Development Manager develops, supports and promotes opportunities related to Community Pharmacy career pathways. Think support for high school and university students, interns, and early career pharmacists. This role is a full-time, ongoing opportunity and is based at the Guild’s National Secretariat in Canberra.
Roles and responsibilities:
Actively pursue opportunities to promote career paths in Community Pharmacy for both pharmacists and pharmacy assistants, utilizing innovative tools, programs and resources. Management and enhancement of the University, NAPSA (National Australian Pharmacy Students Association) and Career pharmacist engagement strategies.
Forge strong partnerships and employ effective stakeholder engagement strategies to position community pharmacy as the most attractive career pathway option for those seeking a career in the industry.
Promote the Guild’s business resources, and member services to all stakeholders and identify enhancements related to community pharmacy career pathways.
Create and maintain community pharmacy business and career education content that is strategically aligned, and member focused.
Identify and implement new opportunities to promote Community Pharmacy career pathway options through innovative tools, programs, and resources
Coordinate and maintain innovative business support resources and tools.
Provide support and education to branch staff in all activities to enable Guild branches to promote business resources and career pathways through close liaison with the Communications and Marketing Team.
Maintaining and enhancing key stakeholder relationships, for example NAPSA and, pharmacy schools, sponsors, vocational providers, other industrial bodies.
Ensure accurate documentation of all activity within the Guild GEMM database and SharePoint.
About You!
You're experienced in coordinating projects and events, bringing passion and enthusiasm to each task.
Your stakeholder engagement skills are second to none - you know how to maintain positive, engaging relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
You're a self-starter, known for your proactive approach and growth mindset.
Knowledge of small business operations, community pharmacy industry, workforce planning, and career pathways would be advantageous.
