About the role:
We are seeking two reliable and skilled Irrigation Maintainers to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems to ensure optimal water delivery for landscapes, parks and gardens. Duties include troubleshooting system issues, adjusting timers and valves, replacing damaged components, and ensuring systems operate efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience with various irrigation systems, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Complete all work in a safe and efficient manner having regard to own safety, the public’s safety and that of other workers.
- Ensure you deliver outstanding customer service and be community minded with a willingness to improve the life for our community
- Operate and maintain all associated plant in accordance with Safe Working Practices, Policy and Procedures.
- Carry out a variety of tasks as set by Supervisor, associated with maintenance and construction of Parks and Engineering assets
- Responsible for the quality of individual work and safety on a daily basis, including recognise and correct quality deviations and/or faults
- Responsible for the maintenance and availability of the materials, tools, equipment, vehicles and plant used by members of the crew
- Assist, as required, in the maintenance of other areas within the City.

The successful candidate will have the following:
- Certificate III and/or Certificate IV in Irrigation or equivalent experience
- Experience in irrigation inspection, maintenance, repairs and installation
- Current C Class Drivers Licence
- Basic Worksite Traffic Management Certificate
- Safety Awareness Training Certificate (White Card)
- A satisfactory National Police Certificate
About working with us:
The salary for this position will be from $77,769.79 - $85,506.50 per annum (includes loading), depending on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.
Please note that salary will be determined in accordance with the current EBA and classification levels ranging from PEF 4 to PEF 6 based on qualifications: PEF 4 for candidates without formal qualifications, PEF 5 for those holding a Certificate III in Irrigation, and PEF 6 for those with a Certificate IV in Irrigation.
