About the location

Our Essendon Fields location serves as both our manufacturing hub and head office, anchoring our strategic team and Modbotics operations.

About the role

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Maintenance Technician – Manufacturing Line is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our robotics and automated machinery. This hands-on role focuses on preventative care, troubleshooting, and minimising downtime across Modscape + Modbotics’ state-of-the-art manufacturing line.

Your day to day will include:

Performing routine maintenance and calibration of robotic and automated machinery.

Troubleshooting breakdowns using diagnostic tools and system programs.

Conducting lubrication schedules, wear-part inspections, and mechanical repairs.

Liaising with machinery suppliers both locally and overseas.

Updating maintenance logs, inspection reports, and compliance records.

Supporting process improvements to reduce downtime and enhance efficiency.

Note: Potential weekend work/flexible schedule pending operational needs of the line.

What you’ll bring

Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Fitting & Machining, or equivalent.

Proven experience maintaining mechanical systems (conveyors, gearboxes, assemblies).

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and apply WHS safe work practices.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
