Salary Range: Approximate range $120,000 to $125,000 gross per annum, plus superannuation. The salary is dependent on the individual applicant’s NESA qualifications.

Rosebank College has a proud and varied history of over 150 years as part of the Good Samaritan family established in 1857, and belonging to the Benedictine spiritual and educational tradition founded by St Benedict in the 4th century. The College belongs to the community of ten schools across Australia called Good Samaritan Education (GSE). About the Role

A school of Good Samaritan Education, Rosebank College, seeks expressions of interest in the TAS Teacher position to join the TAS Faculty in a full-time (1.0FTE) position from Term 1, 2026. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Technology Mandatory Stage 4, Industrial Technology Timber Stage 5 (potentially Stage 6) and Design and Technology.

Applicants for this position must be excellent classroom practitioners, dedicated team players interested in the care and welfare of students, and have teaching skills to equip them to contribute to the College’s educational program in teaching and learning. Applicants must also be skilled in using educational technology in the classroom. This position will allow creative and passionate teacher and their students to flourish.

Further duties include and are not limited to the following:

  • Contributing to the preparation of relevant teaching programs.
  • Preparing each lesson well.
  • Providing students with a variety of appropriate learning experiences.
  • Regularly collecting and checking students' work and offering constructive feedback.
  • Integrating information technology into learning experiences.
  • Integrating the teaching of literacy and numeracy into their classroom teaching.
  • Role modelling punctuality and preparedness.
  • Promoting an atmosphere of respect in the classroom and with colleagues.
  • Ensuring gender equity within the classroom.
  • Affirming students by acknowledging achievements.
  • Reinforcing College expectations regarding behaviour.
  • Fostering self-discipline in students in the classroom.
  • Attending parent evenings in relation to students in the class.
  • Collaborating with colleagues through the direction of the Studies Coordinator.
  • Communicating with parents via the College Diary regarding students’ effort and achievement.
  • Providing parents with Interim and Semester reports of their child’s progress in the subject.
  • Adhering to the College’s Code of Conduct and Child Protection policy.
  • Monitoring the attendance of students in the class.
  • Ensuring the neatness and tidiness of the room and the care of equipment used in the class.
  • Completing registration and evaluation of teaching on a regular basis.
  • Contribution to the operation and development of the Faculty to which they belong.
  • Undertaking supervisory duties as required.
  • Observing WHS requirements of the workplace.

  • Qualifications and experience in teaching Stage 4 Technology, Stage 5/6 Industrial Technology: Timber (Essential) and Design and Technology (highly desirable).
  • A minimum of 3 years’ of teaching experience (including locally or overseas).
  • Current NESA Accreditation (proficient status) and approval to teach in NSW.
  • A commitment to academic excellence and demonstrated knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practices that encourage educational excellence.
  • Commitment to continual improvement and effective use of data to differentiate the curriculum and address the learning needs of all students.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the current curriculum and NESA requirements for TAS.
  • Interpersonal skills with parents, students and staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team.
  • Possess a valid Working with Children Check.
  • A commitment to the child safeguarding principles.
  • Willingness to support the Catholic ethos and learning culture of the College.
  • Supporting the College Pastoral Program, including being responsible for a Home Room.
  • A commitment to the child safeguarding principles.
