About the role

As a Float Driver with Bell Transport and Logistics Pty Ltd, you will play a key role in the company's efficient road transport operations. This full-time position is based in North Maclean, QLD, and offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic, customer-focused team.

What you'll be doing

• Safely and efficiently operate a variety of heavy vehicles, including semi-trailers and floats , to transport goods across town or across the Country
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and identify any maintenance requirements
• Follow all relevant road rules, safety procedures, and company policies to ensure the safe delivery of goods
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to delivery requirements and maintaining open communication with clients
• Assist with loading and unloading vehicles as needed
• Complete accurate paperwork and maintain detailed records of deliveries
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of transport operations through feedback and collaboration with the team

What we're looking for

• A current Heavy Vehicle (HC or MC) driver's licence with a strong safety record
• Demonstrated experience in operating a range of heavy vehicles, including semi-trailers and Quad / Dolly floats
• Strong knowledge of road rules, safety regulations, and best practices in the road transport industry
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
• A commitment to safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends, as required
• A team-oriented mindset and the ability to work collaboratively to achieve shared goals
• Machinery experience is a must
• Current MSIC Card or Willing to obtain one
• White card
• BFM is an Advantage but not mandatory
