ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking Aged Care Employees to work across our two aged care facilities - Emmaus Home and St Agnes’ Residential Care supporting with kitchen and cleaning services.

As an Aged Care Employee – Kitchen & Cleaning, you’ll play an important part in creating a safe, comfortable and welcoming home for our residents. Depending on your roster, your duties may include:

Kitchen support - Assisting with meal preparation, plating and serving, presenting food in a hygienic and attractive way. Checking deliveries and helping maintain stock, all while following HACCP & food safety standards.

Cleaning support - Carrying out regular cleaning of resident rooms, facilities and shared areas. Maintaining cleaning equipment and ensuring infection control standards are met.

The position will be offered on a casual basis and require flexibility to be able to work a range of shifts during the week and weekends.

WHO YOU ARE

Ideally you have experience in a kitchen and/or hold a certificate in food services - desirable.

Experience in a cleaning role, within an aged care or home care environment (Preferred)

Knowledge and experience in safe handling of chemical handling (Preferred)

Flexibility to be able to work a range of shifts during the week and weekends

The ability to self-manage your day – excellent time management and prioritisation skills required

An energetic, positive attitude with a genuine interest in and compassion for aged people

A strength and desire to work as part of a collaborative team and the ability to work independently

Able to follow procedures, instructions and work systems

Intermediate computer skills and/or open to learning new technology

A commitment to ongoing learning and development

Commitment to work in harmony with Catholic Values and Principles
