Smartech Business Systems Oceania Pty Ltd currently has a vacancy for a Mailing Production Engineer to assemble, service, repair and refurbish a wide range of electro-mechanical products supplied by Smartech.

The successful applicant for this role should be a self-motivated individual with a "can do" attitude and the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service & communication skills. They should have a strong aptitude to troubleshoot & diagnose high tech electro-mechanical product faults.

The role involves:

Preparation and Deployment of Mailing Machines

Onsite service and diagnostics

Preventative maintenance of business technology equipment supplied by Smartech Australia.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

Experience with systems processing up to 12,000 mail pieces per hour

Strong technical skills in servicing, maintaining, and upgrading printing hardware and related software/firmware.

Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software faults in the field.

Excellent customer service and communication skills; able to build strong relationships with clients.

Self-motivated with solid time and resource management abilities.

Comfortable working independently or as part of a team, often in customer environments.

Experience in training operators on equipment use and basic maintenance.

Understanding of and commitment to OH&S procedures and safe work practices.

Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites and work flexible hours as needed.

Familiar with inventory and spare parts management.

Ongoing commitment to learning and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
