Lower Murray Water (LMW) is a water corporation providing services to around 80,000 urban and rural customers along the Murray River. Our service region lies within the traditional lands of First Nations Peoples, starting from Barapa Barapa (Koondrook), travelling downstream along the Murray River through Latji Latji (Mildura) and flowing to Ngintait at the South Australian border. A unique organisation, LMW operates both urban and rural water businesses which support domestic and commercial customers from households through large-scale irrigation operations. LMW is seeking a skilled and innovative Control Systems Specialist to join our team to support and enhance our Industrial Control Systems (ICS) infrastructure. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring secure, reliable, and innovative operations across our business.

About the role:

As the Control Systems Specialist you will provide efficient and effective technical support services associated with LMWs ICS infrastructure to ensure quality, continuous service and business needs are met, through innovation, compliance, and enhancing security practices.

Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

Provide on-the-job training and support in ICS infrastructure to relevant people.

Ensure adherence to goals and objectives associated with ICS infrastructure.

Identify opportunities for improvement, consistency, and efficiency in LMW systems, policies, and procedures.

Manage key stakeholder relationships both internal and external.

Ensure LMW’s SCADA systems integrity and performance are maintained and supported.

Ensure LMW’s ICS infrastructure (PLC’s, RTU’s, Radio’s etc.) are maintained and supported.

Support delivery of projects and ensure adherence to LMW standards are met.

About you:

You will have relevant experience, knowledge, and qualifications, complemented by a desire to contribute to a successful delivery of vital water services.

Your experience and sound communication skills will, support you in providing efficient and effective technical support services and, enable you to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplined team to achieve organisational objectives.
