Marketing Officer

Location: Flexible – Newcastle, Armidale, Erina or Tamworth (Hybrid work options available)

Hours: Full-time (1.0 FTE, 38 hours per week) ongoing

Annual Salary: $83,512.03 – $91,947.73 + 12% super + salary packaging*

About the Role

As Marketing Officer, you will:

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns
  • Provide marketing advice and support to internal teams delivering projects, initiatives, or events
  • Ensure brand guidelines are applied consistently across all outputs
  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of digital marketing platforms (e.g., website, email systems, social media)
  • Monitor and evaluate campaign performance to inform continuous improvement
  • Contribute to building the organisation’s reputation as a trusted health partner

What you will bring to the role

  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, or related discipline
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a marketing role with a focus on campaign coordination
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
  • Strong skills in digital marketing campaign management, tracking, and optimisation
  • Familiarity with marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads, CMS platforms, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex health information into clear, engaging, and accessible messages
  • Experience in the health, not-for-profit, or government sector (desirable)
  • Understanding of stakeholder engagement principles (desirable)

Additional Information

*Salary: This role is classified as F - J within our Enterprise Agreement and the rate will be dependent on skills and experience/qualifications. New appointments are generally offered between grade F - H.

*Portable leave and portable long service leave schemes do not apply to the PHN, for example NSW Health Portable Leave and the Community Services Industry (CSI) scheme.
