About This Opportunity
We are seeking outstanding academics to complement the existing teaching and research direction with 2 additional continuing positions at Senior Lecturer level. The School welcomes applications from the areas of Computer Science, AI, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Robotics.
The ideal candidates will have both, an established research track record and demonstrated teaching excellence. Your research program should have a clear direction and align well with existing strengths in the School. Both direction and alignment will need to be demonstrated in the outline of your research program and submitted as part of your application.
Within EECS you will undertake high quality research, engage with industry partners, seek competitive research funding, supervise research higher degree students and collaborate with partners. You will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, coursework thesis supervision and further development of the School's education programs, as well as performing administrative activities associated with the School. We value collaborative and multi-disciplinary research efforts and expect you to actively participate in university research networks.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Research: Establish a research program, collaborate on research projects, seek and manage research funding, publish in reputable journals, utilize best practice research methodologies, and participate in project discussions.
- Teaching: Develop and deliver courses, engage in curriculum design, coordinate courses, assess students, provide academic counselling, and adhere to university teaching rules.
- Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise students, recruit and manage employees, provide performance feedback and training, resolve conflicts, and ensure correct remuneration and benefits.
- Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.

About You
- Completion of a PhD in a related field and an outstanding international research profile as evidenced through publications in high-quality refereed journals and international conferences and successfully seeking, obtaining, and managing external research funding.
- Evidence of high-quality teaching in a variety of settings (e.g undergraduate/postgraduate, small/large class, in-person/online).
- Experience in course coordination and leadership in the development and continuous innovation of new programs, curriculum design and course material.
- An established track record of supervision of Honours and Research Higher Degree students to successful completion.
- Demonstrated leadership and strong contributions in internal and external service roles.
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal and consultative skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from a multidisciplinary background.
