At Oceanside Cardiology, we are more than just a medical team – we are a team that shares a deep commitment to caring for our patients and for each other. Due to growth in our busy private practices across the Sunshine Coast Regions (Birtinya, Noosaville, Gympie and Hervey Bay), we are looking for a Cardiologist, specialising in either Interventional/Structural Cardiology, Cardiac Imaging, or Electrophysiology/Pacing who shares our values of Collaboration, Compassion, Integrity, Knowledge and Exceptional Care – someone who brings not only exceptional procedural and clinical skills, but also empathy, warmth and a patient-first mindset.

This position is available as either part-time or full-time and offers the opportunity to run your own cardiology outpatient clinic and perform high-quality cardiac procedures. You will be working in collaboration with our broader clinical team including Cardiologists, Sonographers, Cardiac Scientists and Nurse Practitioner.

What You Will Do:

Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care

Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures as per sub-specialty (e.g. TOE for imaging) with a strong commitment to safety, precision and excellent outcomes

Interpret and integrate advanced diagnostic imaging (i.e. echocardiography, exercise stress testing) into thoughtful, individualised care plans

Work in collaboration with the broader clinical and administrative team, ensuring patients receive efficient and effective expert care

Lead a high-volume outpatient clinic, balancing efficiency with a personal, patient-first approach

Ensure patients are seen and treated in a timely manner, with a focus on communication, education and long-lasting relationships

Participate in collaborative case discussions and team-based decision making with an open, supportive environment – all with the goal of improving patient outcomes, enhancing care delivery and continuously refining our clinical processes

Share on call responsibilities as rostered at Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital and Buderim Private Hospital

Must haves

Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Cardiology

Dedicated Fellowship/subspeciality training and experience in sub-speciality cardiology

Current AHPRA registration

State Credentialing (e.g. Radiation Use Licence)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, medical professionals, and the broader healthcare teams

A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred care

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure, whilst ensuring professional and empathy is maintained at all times

Ability to work across all our clinics in the Sunshine Coast Region
