QUALIFIED CARPENTER- RESIDENTIAL BATHROOM RENOVATIONS

Our work also includes major renovations such as full house remodels, house lifts, and decks.

About the role

We are seeking a Qualified Carpenter to join our team and work across residential bathroom, laundry, and kitchen projects.

To be a successful candidate, you are required to be competent in the following tasks:

Reframing bathroom walls.

Installing hinged doors, door jambs and handles/locks.

Straightening walls and ceilings.

Repair bathroom floors.

Installing niche boxes.

Installing vanities and shaving cabinets.

Installing cavity sliders, doors, and cavity door locks.

Installing timber and aluminium windows.

Installing architraves and skirting boards.

Installing tile underlay.

Installing external cladding and trims.

Re-sheeting walls and ceilings with villa board, plasterboard and VJ linings.

Fit off towel rails and bathroom accessories.

No Break your back work required including demolition or completing works outside basic carpentry works listed above.

Skills and Experience

Must have a Construction White Card, Drivers License, tools, PPE, Utility with racks or vehicle capable of carrying materials when required.

Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Motivated, reliable, punctual, trustworthy and honest.

Work both autonomously and/or with other members of HMD Building.

Excellent presentation.

Great communication skills.

Ability to problem solve and think critically.

Experience in bathroom, kitchen, laundry and minor renovations.

Experience in major renovations would be highly regarded.

Patience and ability to work with and teach apprentice carpenters (if required).

Strong focus on quality workmanship and client satisfaction.

Manual dexterity and physical strength to undertake daily tasks as necessary.

Sound understanding of math.

Ability to complete material take offs for orders (if required).
