Parts Interpreter / Store Person

An opportunity exists within a busy heavy transport equipment company for an experienced PARTS INTERPRETER / STORE PERSON. To be successful in this role you must have a sound knowledge of semi-trailer and prime mover parts/workings. This position reports to the workshop manager.

Your responsibilities will include:

Ordering all parts directly from suppliers and providing POs accordingly, as such maintaining stock levels appropriate to upcoming work.

Ensure Workshop team have parts available on demand as required to complete services & repairs to our fleet.

Ensure parts storage for the Sydney Workshops are carried out to the best possible standard in accordance with directives from National Workshop & Branch Manager and company policies.

Accurately processing and receipting invoices.

Provide support to Workshop Manager/Coordinator.

Interpret parts from a computer-based parts program.

Receive and dispatch parts ordered as required.

Follow up back orders.

Stocktakes as required.

Building supplier relationships.

Liaise with current and new stock suppliers to ensure best value is achieved for workshop stock

General ADHOC duties as required.

About You:

High Attention to detail.

Ability to work within a team.

Sound computer knowledge.

Manual C class driver’s license.

LF Forklift ticket.

Sound Truck and Semi-Trailer parts knowledge.
