
Turf Technician

About the role
As Lawn Technician, you’ll develop and implement a comprehensive turf management work program plan for the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens (RTBG) lawn areas. You’ll oversee and conduct all aspects of turf maintenance and renovations, including aeration, scarifying, seeding, fertilizing and topdressing, and maintain the RTBG irrigation systems and horticultural machinery.
Our ideal candidate
- Holds a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or an equivalent level.
- Has knowledge in the preparation and application of herbicides, pesticides, and fertilisers.
- Has experience operating horticultural machinery.
- Holds a current driver’s licence.
- Holds a Workplace Level 2 First Aid certificate.
